Call me an escapist if you like.

You may wish to kill me, but I am definitely not going for ANY root canal treatment sessions. What the hell....the entire root canal treatment session was quoted at 1.5K! The dentist can earn it in a single day while I have to literally slog my whole month to earn that darn sum. I must either be
(a) extremely in pain
(b) extremely in love with the dentist
(c) feeling extremely generous on that day
(d) simply out of my mind

if I were to do root canal. It's not just the money. Imagine the pain....awful....bleah.

New pet @ work

Not trying to advocate the buying of a life for self-entertainment.
But it does help if you have a pet placed at your working place.
It makes you have to come to work everyday for fear that it will starve to death (unless we are talking about totally bochap people who don't care if their pets are hungry or not)
OK, that's not a good one....

But you have to agree that it makes the working place much more bearable!

Happy new year to all! It's amazing how fast time passes....gosh, it is 2006 already!

New Year!!

New insights to a new chapter of life...new year resolutions set. I hope to attain several milestones in this new year.

• I would like to go for my PhD qualifying exams this year and hopefully clear it. Only then, can I tell people that I am a qualified PhD candidate.
• I would like to submit in abstract for the ISME Austria conference and hopefully attend it in August! I would like to get the signature of Craig Venter!
• I would like to submit in drafts for publishing....I had been constipating too long in this aspect. Time for me to move on.
• Holiday! I need one...
• Bring myself back to good health. Hopefully I can say goodbye to gastric cramps and headaches.. Time for me to pick up exercising yet again. East healthily and live optimistically.

What have I done in the past 2005? Looking back, I am afraid I am not able to recall anything substantial. Nothing much, i suppose?
